No mate, these go on an axle across the vans wheels and have a remote controlled motor that squeezes in against the tyre for traction.Great for backing up as in my case a narrow drive with only 140 m each side to maneuver. I even have to pull the mirrors in to the car.

i'm really skeptical about this, very low feedback ebay seller. what are the chances of these being knockoffs? $200 is a reasonable price, a small saving over the usual suspects.

Agree. I only found out tonight from some of the other club members. I bought my S5 from him less than 6 months ago.thomashouseman wrote:That's sad news. As for the Cyclo 505 from HN Online, first time also with them, finally after a week of difficulties got the Magellan Cyclo 505 for $172.
Both just charged now to figure out the firmware situation and how to use them, if my Mio Alpha BLE wrist heartrate monitor will pair up, what new speed/cadence sensor to get etc. etc. Fun times =P

A slight deviation off topic but how do these putes compare to the garmin edge 800? I've also got a couple of garmin odds and sods (HR and cadence). Will they pair with the 505? Seriously tempted.jaythefordman wrote:I just picked up a Cyclo 505 from HN today, $172. Will also grab the heart rate monitor as well. Too good a deal to say no too. I read a review comparing the 505 with the Garmin 1000, and the 505 comes out favourably. Common consensus seems to be that the 505 is superior in terms of maps, but the Garmin is better for data, but theres almost nothing in it. 505 will pair with Garmin heart rate and cadence meters no problems apparently, though I think the new magnetic cadence meters won't sync (though a firmware update is expected to overcome this, so far as I believe).squeakywheel wrote:A slight deviation off topic but how do these putes compare to the garmin edge 800? The Corratec 29er Diamond Trekking (listed as Bosch Active Line, but arrived with Bosch Performance Line motor).
Ironically it's on discount and higher spec'd than the "new" 2015 models that are like the other lower spec'd 2014 models.
Also a 48hr "SAVE50" code that you can mention in-store (as the clearance stock isn't online).
