Wynumn tomorrow, Goat track Monday looking for riding bud

Postby Ryanhyltoncummins » Sat Jun 06, 2015 8:57 am

Hey just looking to see if anybody is planning these two routes over the weekend. I'm planning on going early (4:30ish) but I could always wait an hour or two if somebody else wants to join me.

I'm doing wynumn via the gateway and one of the Hamilton climbs and coming back on Ricketts, Chelsea, London and old Cleveland road.

For goat track I'm going out via kelvin grove road and skipping settlement road. I want to hit the dirt right as the sun is coming up.

I'm coming in from the southside (annerley) so could always meet close by if you wanted.
I don't normally have cafe breaks but happy to stop for a rest and a bite to eat.
Hopefully somebody might already be planning these and we could link up.
Ryan

A few oldies myself included were thinking of doing the Goat track monday morning, but dunno where we will start from, maybe Mitchelton, which would be on your route from KG road. We average about 25km/hr on the sealed stuff.
Could be a bit too slow for you but we can get up the Goat track in 20 mins approx. (will check past performances)
Anyway will talk to the rest of the guys (all 3 of them!) and send you a message tomorrow.
Steve

No worries would be nice to have some company if It was possible last time I did the goat track loop segment in around 26km/hr I usually finish and get home in a good 3 hours.

How are you getting back to Brisbane? Via Nebo/Gap, Samford etc?

Sorry mate but had to do the (shorter) southside brisbane ride yesterday, for a variety of reasons.
Thats one of the good things about cycling, if no-one comes to the party you can still have a good time.

That will be me tomorrow morning, prob have to do Coottha by myself cause both of my usual riding buddies are away. :(
